South Africa has handed first One-day International (ODI) call-ups to three players, expanding their limited overs depth. Laban Peter, Leland Melanesian , and Jason Smith were named in the squad for the upcoming Afghanistan series in Sharjah, starting Sept. 18. This move by head coach Rob Walter aims to build a stronger pool of players as South Africa prepares for major tournaments, including the 50-over World Cup in 2027.
